Doncaster bolster squad with Audis and Mcilwaine
Doncaster have strengthened their squad with the double signing of youngsters Lee Audis and David Mcilwaine.
Audis, the 21-year-old scrum-half, joins the Knights from Coventry, where he made 29 appearances and scored almost 90 points last season.
Audis is noted for his pace as well as his box and goal kicking ability, something director of rugby Brett Davey hopes he can bring to a struggling Knights side.
Davey said: "Lee has signed as a scrum-half to compliment the abilities of Chris Hallam as we look for a balance throughout the squad that gives us the options we need on the pitch.
"The fact he is a reliable goal kicker is an extra bonus, it does no harm to have all the bases covered during a game.
"A key part of this signing, as all of the signings this year, is that the player showed enthusiasm to play for Doncaster during our discussions."

And joining Audis at Castle Park to bolster the back division further is Ulster' back Mcilwaine.
The 21-year-old, who plays predominantly at full-back but has turned out on the wing or at centre during his career, broke into the Ulster squad after graduating through the academy set up.
And Mcilwaine, whose Ulster debut was against the Ospreys last season, has also made Heineken Cup appearances for his side.
Davey added: "David is a talented young player with a lot of passion for the game.
"I see him primarily as a full back but like Ben Toft and Michael Keating he gives us options with his flexibility.
"The fact he handled himself well in his appearances for Ulster against tough opposition marks him out as a player more mature than his years suggest."
