Argentina centre Marcelo Bosch has signed a contract extension with Saracens.

Bosch, 31, was the hero of Saracens' European Champions Cup quarter-final victory over Racing Metro 11 days ago, booting a penalty with the game's final kick to secure a 12-11 success in Paris.

The 33 times-capped international has made 40 appearances since joining Saracens from Biarritz in 2013.

“I’m very happy to sign a new contract with Saracens,” Bosch told the club’s website. “Ever since I arrived at the club, I have been treated extremely well, and everyone has made my family feel so welcome.

“One of my goals when I first came to Saracens was to keep learning. I spent seven years in France before the move, so coming here was a big challenge for me in terms of change of lifestyle, but of course in a change of rugby as well.

“I wanted to learn more and try to improve as much as I could in every aspect of the game. I’m very pleased with how things have gone so far. I’m still trying to learn, still trying to improve, and I’m still enjoying myself.”

His deal follows new contracts announced earlier this week for locks George Kruis and Maro Itoje.

"Marcelo has worked incredibly hard since he arrived at the club back in October 2013,” said the club’s rugby director Mark McCall.

"Since then, he has made huge improvements in his game and is constantly looking to get better as a player.

"What has pleased us most about Marcelo is that he has rediscovered his love for the game. His hunger and determination to improve is second to none."
