Wales forwards coach Robin McBryde says his side cannot afford to be distracted by the return of England centre Manu Tuilagi.
Tuilagi, 24, is expected to return from a 20-month international absence after being named in the England squad to face Wales at Twickenham on Saturday.
The Samoan-born back will start on the bench after England head coach Eddie Jones named an unchanged side for the Six Nations clash.
McBryde, who was won 37 caps for his country, says he expected Jones to name a similar squad that beat Ireland 21-10 on February 27.
"It was what we expected. We know what is ahead of us - it's not surprise really that they've given that team the go ahead," McBryde said.
"I think that everyone has got a part to play on the day. There are certain individuals that warrant a little bit of special attention but it's not allowing that to take us off our course.
"We need to stick to our guns and work on the things that we've focused on during the week."
Much of the attention in the lead up to the match is the potential battle between Tuilagi and Jamie Roberts at centre, should the Leicester Tigers player feature on Saturday.
"Whether or not it materialises time will only tell," McBryde said.
"It's going to be a battle all round really and I think there are a number of head to heads that we can point towards.
"I think any player or any coach who is familiar with playing that certain position will be looking at that battle with a keen eye."
