England full-back Mike Brown says they face their first real tough match of the Six Nations when they play Ireland

Mike Brown says England are ready to implement Eddie Jones' high standards against an Ireland side he rates as "the top team in Europe".

England have won both of their matches under the new boss, beating Scotland 15-9 in Edinburgh and winning 40-9 against Italy in Rome.

Ahead of the clash with Ireland at Twickenham on February 27, Joe Schmidt's men are yet to win in the current championship, having drawn their first game with Wales 16-16 before a 10-9 loss against France in Paris.

Brown, who has played all but 11 minutes of the two games under Jones so far, has enjoyed working with the Australian but accepts the team need to make some improvements in attack.

Eddie Jones has told Sky Sports News that he was impressed with England's emphatic win over Italy at the weekend

"He's a tough character," Brown said of Jones. "He lets you know what he expects of you, which is great. You are left in no uncertain terms what he wants and what he expects of you on and off the field and he sets high standards.

"We are well into the Six Nations now and we are well into all the changes Eddie has brought. We are well into trying to get better as players and as a team.

"We are well on the way to playing the way we want. Our defence is looking good; our attack needs a few tweaks but we are heading in the right direction."

"Obviously they'll be disappointed with their start but they are the top team in Europe," he said. "We know in the next two weeks there is a lot of hard work to be put in if we want to get the win we desperately want on our home soil as well.

"We will keep working hard and look how they play. They are a formidable when they get going so we need to make sure we are on our game so we don't let them do that."
