Ben Te'o admits he's aware he's likely to start most England games from the bench

Ben Te’o insists he is happy with his role as an impact player for England, despite his match-winning cameo in Saturday’s win over France.

Te'o made an immediate impact after coming on as a substitute, running hard and straight before picking a strong line to score the decisive try in the 71st minute as England beat France 19-16 at Twickenham.

The physical presence and hard-running style of Te'o offers a different dynamic to England's centre, with Owen Farrell and Jonathan Joseph the preferred options in Eddie Jones' side.

However, Te'o is not expecting Jones to break up that centre partnership any time soon and insists he is happy with his substitute role, at least in the short term.

"The role I am focused on right now is the role that I have, which is coming off the bench and providing a little bit of an impact," Te'o told Sky Sports News HQ.

"That is what I am focused on at the moment. If things change down the track then I am sure Eddie will let me know but it is just about playing my role for the squad if I am lucky enough to be in the 23."
