Eddie Jones says Argentina will be 'desperate' to beat his England side at Twickenham

Eddie Jones says England will face an Argentina side "desperate" to beat them at Twickenham after a "terrible season" for the Pumas.

England begin their schedule of autumn internationals with the visit of the traditionally tough scrummagers from South America, live on Sky Sports Action from 2pm on Saturday.

Jones' men have racked up 19 victories since his appointment, tasting defeat only once when a Six Nations Grand Slam was denied by Ireland in March.

But the head coach feels his team will face a difficult challenge when they take on Argentina, despite the Pumas going into the game on the back of six straight Rugby Championship defeats.

"They're desperate because they're under the pump," said Jones, who led an England side without their British & Irish Lions players to a two-Test series win in Argentina in June. "They've had a terrible season and they want to atone for that.

"That's what makes them so dangerous. Physically they're going to front up, they're going to be tactically smart and they've got two good half-backs, who give them good options.
