Yoann Maestri will captain France in the second Test against Argentina on Saturday with Jules Plisson having been dropped.

Plisson took the armband for last Sunday's 30-19 defeat but has lost his place at fly-half to Francois Trinh-Duc for the final match in their brief series in Tucuman.

Second row Maestri, who has 47 caps, missed that game with a rib injury but is fit to return as coach Guy Noves opted to name a much more experienced starting XV.

Trinh-Duc returns to the starting line-up and will partner Bordeaux scrum-half Baptiste Serin, who won his first cap on Sunday.

Maxime Medard is recalled at full-back and there are also starts for centre Gael Fickou and Remi Lamerat, prop Uini Atonio and flanker Louis Picamoles.

Plisson, Julien Rey and Rabah Slimani drop to the bench while first Test starters Hugo Bonneval, Jonathan Danty, William Delmotte and Raphael Lakafia are left out of Noves' 23.

"We have tried to be true to what we said at the start of the tournament - we want to have the opportunity to have a look at everybody," said Noves.
