Payne and Southwell sign new contracts

International duo Tim Payne and Hugo Southwell have both agreed new deals at London Wasps. Payne has been a key figure of the Wasps pack since making his debut in 2003, with England prop going on to make 238 appearances. Scotland full-back Southwell has been an ever-present in the Wasps line-up this year, having played 21 since joining from Stade Francais. And director of rugby Dai Young is delighted that the experienced duo will be ad Adams Park next season. Young said: "It's great to see senior talented guys like this commit to the club for the years ahead. "Tim Payne has shown a real appetite and hunger to continue his career at the highest level and I believe he remains one of the best loose-heads in the country. "Hugo Southwell has been a real lynchpin at fullback and his international experience is playing an important role in developing some of the younger talent we have in our back-line. These are the kind of quality players we want to keep at the club."
