The 26-year-old will end a six-year spell with the Scottish club and join Wales lock Bradley Davies, Italy prop Lorenzo Cittadini, plus Sale Sharks pair Rob Miller and James Gaskell as part of a shake-up at Adams Park.

"I am very excited about joining Wasps," Jackson said.

New challenge

"I have been at Glasgow a long time now, but I am now relishing this new challenge that lies ahead.

"I've enjoyed my six years at the club and I'll take a lot of good memories with me. I'd like to thank everyone at the Warriors for supporting me during my time in Glasgow, this club will always mean a lot to me.

"I've had the opportunity to play in some massive games and I've played with so many quality players.

"There is still a lot of rugby to be played this season and I'm looking forward to some big games ahead."

Impressed

Wasps rugby director David Young added: "I have been very impressed with what I have seen of Ruaridh, and I am looking forward to welcoming him to the club.

"He will add to the quality pool of 10s we already have, and the competition for that position next season will be very strong."

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "Ruaridh has been a fantastic ambassador for the club during his six years in Glasgow and been a key driver of the club's improvement in recent seasons.

"He became a centurion earlier this season, which shows how big a role he's played.

"I've really enjoyed working with Ruaridh and I'm confident that he will be successful in the next stage of his rugby career. We wish him all the best when he moves on at the end of the season."
