The 29-year-old has agreed a contract with the Warriors after seeing a proposed move to rugby league side Hull FC fall through.

Worcester are eight points adrift at the bottom of the Premiership with two games remaining and are likely to begin next season in the Championship.

But Biggs, capped by England at Saxons level, is confident he is joining a club with real long-term ambition.

He said: "I am excited about the challenge of joining Worcester.

"They are a very ambitious club but have not reached where they have wanted to be over recent seasons and I want to play a part in helping them achieve success.

Worcester's director of rugby Dean Ryan said: "Tom is an exciting player who has the ability to demonstrate flashes of brilliance and change the outcome of any match.

"He has been a consistent Premiership performer for a decade and when he became available to sign, it was an easy decision to make.

"His presence amongst our emerging backline will be invaluable to us next season, as will his experience of playing in a successful environment."

Biggs, who joined Bath in 2010, has made more than 80 appearances for the club and was their leading try-scorer in 2011/12.

He said: "I've loved my time here at Bath, and would like to thank all the supporters, coaches, staff and players who have made it such a great experience.

"This is a really exciting squad and I'm sure they'll keep improving over the coming seasons."
