Winger poised to agree a two-year deal

Rudi Wulf could have played his last game for the Blues after reports linking the winger to a return to Toulon. Wulf made 23 appearances for the Top 14 outfit between 2010-11 although an Achilles tendon injury saw him return to New Zealand ahead of schedule. The All Blacks international, though, has now been offered a two-year deal with the Top 14 semi-finalist. And with the 28-year-old having been told he needs surgery on his shoulder, Wulf appears to have played his last game for the Blues. "Unfortunately Rudi Wulf has been ruled out for the rest of the season," said Blues coach Pat Lam. "He had a scan last week on his shoulder and the fracture he had six-seven weeks ago hasn't healed at all. He's having surgery on Wednesday and that's another blow to us."
