Back-rower signs for Japanese club Toyota
Blues back-rower Chris Lowrey is the latest player to swap New Zealand for Japan.
Lowrey, the rookie of the year in 2009 at the Blues, has agreed a deal to team up with the Top League outfit Toyota.
The 25-year-old, who can play across the back-row, has made 36 appearances for the Auckland franchise since making his debut against the Western Force in 2009.
However he will now join the likes of Blues team-mate Jerome Kaino (who is also joining Toyota) and Sonny Bill Williams in flying out to Japan at the end of the current Super Rugby season.
