Samoa scrum-half waiting on visa

Exeter Chiefs are closing in on the signing of Samoa international scrum-half Junior Poluleuligaga. Poluleuligaga, known as Polu, has been granted an early release from his deal with Bay of Plenty and is now waiting for Home Office clearance to join. Polu has previously played in the Premiership with Harlequins, while he has had experience in the Top 14 with Toulon and the Super 14 with the Chiefs. The 29-year-old, who has been capped 16 times and represented by the Pacific Islanders, will now challenge fellow countryman Garrick Cowley and Haydn Thomas for the No.9 jersey at Sandy Park.
