The Reds have named a new-look side for the visit of the Highlanders to the Suncorp Stadium.

The Reds have named a new-look side for the visit of the Highlanders to the Suncorp Stadium. Coach Ewen McKenzie has made a number of changes to his starting line-up, with James Slipper set to make his Super Rugby debut at loosehead prop. Rookie flanker Jake Schatz, centre Ben Tapuai, full-back Ben Lucas and veteran Sean Hardman, who will make his final appearance for the Reds, also come into the line-up. Australia Sevens and Under-20s forward Ed Quirk is set to make his debut off the bench, while hooker James Hanson, prop Jack Kennedy, flanker Poutasi Luafutu and scrum-half Richard Kingi have also been named among the replacements. Highlanders coach Glenn Moore has made only minimal changes to his line-up for the season's finale against the Reds. Centre Kenny Lynn comes back from injury, allowing Brian Smith to switch to the wing in place of James Paterson. Prop Jamie Mackintosh makes his return on the bench having been sidelined for six weeks with a toe injury.
