Judicial hearing for All Black centre

Ma'a Nonu will face a judicial hearing on Monday after being sent off during the Hurricanes' season opener against the Highlanders. The All Blacks centre was sent packing ten minutes into the second half after receiving his second yellow card for a shoulder barge into the head of Highlanders scrum-half Jimmy Cowan. Nonu had already spent 10 minutes in the sin bin during the first half of the Hurricanes' defeat for an infringement at the breakdown. Down to 14 men man for 30 minutes, the Hurricanes were unable to fight back as the Highlanders completed a scrappy 14-9 victory at Wellington's Westpac stadium. "The red card and citing requires Nonu to appear at a judicial hearing which will be held at the New Zealand Rugby Union offices, in Wellington, on Monday 21 February," SANZAR said in a statement on Saturday.
