Prop makes comeback after completing two-year ban
Prop Matt Stevens made his return to action from a two-year ban on Monday night when he played for Saracens' A team.
The England international was in action for just over an hour in a 39-29 win over Wasps' second string at Old Albanians in St Albans.
The match was the first for Stevens since he completed a suspension for failing a drugs test back in December 2008.
"I wanted to get back on the field after being pulled off...I can't wait to play as much rugby as I can," he told
Sky Sports News afterwards.
On the punishment, he added: "I've said it was a good thing that happened to me, it's something I've learned from. If you can learn from your mistakes, all the better."
The 28-year-old, who has won 32 international caps, could now figure for Sarries in Saturday's LV= Cup match against Scarlets.
