Niyi Adeolokun has signed a new three-year deal with Connacht Rugby through to 2019, the province confirmed on Monday.
The Nigerian-born winger, who was a key part of Connacht's Pro12 title success last season, has been at the Sportsground since 2014 after attending and playing rugby for Dublin University and club side DUFC in the AIL.
Adeolokun, 25, arrived to Ireland as a nine-year-old in 2001 attending De La Salle College in Dublin where he first honed his rugby skills.
"We are delighted to announce that Niyi will continue to play his rugby with Connacht Rugby," said Connacht CEO Willie Ruane.
"I know he is a very popular player among the squad and our supporters and his story is a tremendous example of the success that hard work and determination can bring about."
Adeolokun made 19 appearances for the Galway-based province last season, registering nine tries as they stormed to the Pro12 title and quarter-final of the European Challenge Cup.
Adeolokun caught the eye with his pace and aerial skills, scoring a try in the Pro12 final against Leinster at Murrayfield in May, and Connacht boss Pat Lam said he was delighted with the new contract.
"I'm very pleased for both Connacht Rugby and our supporters that Niyi will be playing with us for the next three seasons," said Lam.
"As the fastest member of our squad, he is a very exciting rugby player with a huge amount of talent. But what impresses us the most with Niyi is his willingness to put in the hard work and consistently look for areas he can improve.
"I have no doubt that he will be a vital contributor again this season as we look to compete in both the Guinness PRO12 and European Champions Cup."
Adeolokun scored his 12th career try for Connacht against Glasgow Warriors during Round 1 of the Pro12, though Lam's side were blown away 5-41.
Connacht and Adeolokun next face a trip to Zebre at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi on 17 September in the Pro12.
