Italy prop Martin Castrogiovanni has been suspended by his club Racing 92 after pictures of him partying in Las Vegas with Zlatan Ibrahimovic surfaced on social media over the weekend.
The 34-year-old is reported to have told Racing 92 he could not play in Sunday's Champions Cup semi-final against his former club Leicester Tigers as he had to attend to a family matter in Argentina.
However, pictures have since emerged of him in Las Vegas with various Paris Saint-Germain players, including Ibrahimovic, David Luiz, Angel Di Maria and Marco Veratti.
PSG have already wrapped up the Ligue 1 title and were given time off by manager Laurent Blanc.
Castrogiovanni had no such permission and Racing 92 quickly moved to suspend the veteran forward.
A club statement said: "Following the publication in the media of photographs showing Martin Castrogiovanni in the company of Paris Saint-Germain footballers this weekend at a hotel in Las Vegas, while the entire membership of the club was in Nottingham to contest a European Cup semi-final, Racing 92 has decided to suspend him as a precautionary measure prior to launching legal procedures."
In Castrogiovanni's absence, Parisian side Racing beat Leicester 19-16 to reach the final where they will face Saracens on May 14.
