Top 14 side Racing Metro have changed their name to Racing 92.

They are ditching 'Metro' from their name because of a change to the status of their relationship with the US Metro sports club.

The '92' refers to the number of the district - Hauts-de-Seines - in western Paris where the club is located.

Racing also confirmed the signing of former Leicester prop Martin Castrogiovanni from European champions Toulon.

The Italy prop is one of eight new signings ahead of the 2015-16 season, including All Blacks star Dan Carter.

French internationals Yannick Nyanga and Remi Tales, Kiwi forwards Chris Masoe and Ben Tameifuna, Argentine international lock Manuel Carizza and Tongan back row Lisiate Fa'aoso also arrive in a major summer recruitment by the club.

Among those departing are Ireland fly-half Jonathan Sexton and Wales centre Jamie Roberts.

Head coaches Laurent Labit and Laurent Travers have also confirmed that their contracts have been extended until 2019.
