Leeds set for departures

A number of players will make their final appearances for Leeds on Saturday after the club missed out on promotion.

Barrow, MacDonald, Blackett and Shaw among those to leave

A number of players will make their final appearances for Leeds Carnegie on Saturday after the club failed to secure promotion back to the Aviva Premiership. Leeds have endured a difficult season following their relegation last year - and although they qualified for the promotion play-offs, they failed to make it out of their pool. Leeds will now face next season with a massively-reduced playing budget - having received a one-off parachute payment of more than £1.5million following their relegation. As a result Lee Blackett, Scott Barrow, Mike MacDonald and Robbie Shaw are among those who have been told that will not be offered new deals after Saturday's final game against the Cornish Pirates. Prop Phil Swainston has already confirmed he will be joining Wasps in the summer, skipper Andy Titterrell, Michael Stephenson, Sean Hohneck, Lachlan Mackay, Danny Paul, Gareth Denman and Ed Williamson all face uncertain futures.
