London Scottish have pulled off a coup by signing former Scotland international fly-half Phil Godman.
RFU Championship outfit London Scottish have pulled off a coup by signing former Scotland international Phil Godman. Godman, who won the last of his 23 caps for Scotland against England in March 2010, was recently released by Edinburgh. The fly-half has suffered a series of injuries which ruled him out of most of the 2010-11 season and he admits he is looking to re-launch his career in London. Godman said: "I'm excited to be joining a club with such a prestigious history. After a few injuries recently, I'm looking forward to kick-starting my career and getting on the pitch for London Scottish." Director of rugby Simon Amor said: "A core part of the London Scottish philosophy is always being on the lookout for Scottish talent. "The signing of Phil's calibre not only fits into this philosophy, but his quality shows the ambitions of the club as we prepare for a second year in the Championship."
