Fiji winger Waisea Nayacalevu has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup after injuring his knee against Australia in midweek.

Nayacalevu picked up the injury during the Aussies' 28-13 victory at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Fiji coach John McKee, who was unable to put a timescale on the 25-year-old's recovery period, has sent the player back to his club Stade Francais for treatment and rehabilitation.

Montpellier winger Timoci Nagusa has been drafted into the squad as a replacement.
