England international Olly Barkley has been arrested by police in Cornwall after a fight broke out in Newquay.The Bath fly-half was one of three men arrested in the early hours of Sunday in Newquay's Oakleigh Terrace after police used CS spray to break up the fracas.
Devon and Cornwall Police detained 24-year-old Barkley, along with a 19-year-old student from Cardiff and a 23-year-old man from Wadebridge, with all three later released on bail.
Police say they were investigating the 'assault and public order incident' in which the victim suffered facial injuries including a fractured jaw.
"Three men were arrested on suspicion of causing an affray and bailed back to Newquay police station on August 23," said a police spokesman.
"CS spray was deployed in order to effect the arrests."
Barkley, who is from Wadebridge, has 16 England caps to his name and is Bath's record points scorer in their history.
