Veteran scrum-half arrives at Quins on a short-term deal

Billy Fulton has agreed a second short-term contract at the Harlequins to provide cover at scrum-half. With Danny Care suffering an ankle injury in the 35-27 win over London Irish, and Andy Gomarsall and Steve So'oialo on World Cup duty with England and Samoa respectively, the Quins have been left with only Simon Keogh to play scrum-half. However, Fulton has agreed a month-long deal to increase the options available to coach Dean Richards, with the 30-year-old going straight into the squad to face Leeds on Saturday. Fulton last played for the Quins during the 2002/03 season, again on a short-term contract, before going on to represent Northampton, Bath and Agen. Prior to his first spell at the Stoop, Fulton played for the New Zealand Maori, Otago Highlanders, Auckland Blues and North Harbour.
