World Cup-winning winger Joe Roff has been named as Oxford's captain for the 126th Lehman Brothers Varsity match at Twickenham on December 6. Roff was part of the successful 1999 Australia squad, while he also played in the 1995 and 2003 tournaments during his 86-cap career. However, the 32-year-old will now turn out at inside centre of Oxford, who are looking to avoid a third successive defeat in the fixture. Roff previously played ACT Brumbies and Biarritz before arriving at Oxford's Harris Manchester College to study a BA in philosophy, politics and economics. Cambridge also can call on a player with professional experience, with Wasps and Harlequins prop Jon Dawson named in their starting XV.
