Late try stuns Gloucester boss
A losing bonus point was scant consolation for Gloucester coach Dean Ryan after his side went down to a last-gasp Worcester try at Sixways.
Former Gloucester player Thinus Delport touched down in the final minute to give Worcester their first victory over the Cherries in 10th meetings, while it was also a record fourth successive Premiership win.
But Ryan felt his side should have had the points wrapped up long before the Warriors stole it late in the day.
"We left the opportunity out there for them to mug us," Ryan said. "We had every opportunity to have managed the game, but we just didn't do it.
"We ended the first half on top, then we failed to manage the game. We are not playing with as much fluency as we would like."
Worcester head coach Clive Griffiths was delighted to see his side's efforts pay off as they moved 14 points clear of bottom-of-the-table Leeds.
"We set out to create a bit of history, having never beaten Gloucester before. Making history had been our theme all week," he said.
"The month of March has been very good to us with three wins and a draw. We just needed to hang in there, and that half-chance came at the end.
"We have beaten Sale, Leicester and Gloucester this month. There is a great cohesiveness and things have come to fruition - I think we have got more of an
all-round game now."
The one down side was a neck injury to winger Marcel Garvey, who was taken to hospital following a head-on collision with England wing Lesley Vainikolo.
"Marcel has gone to hospital as a precaution," Griffiths added. "I think it is a bit of whiplash, and we just need to get him checked out. I think he will remember his clash with Lesley."
Worcester later confirmed that Garvey underwent scans at hospital - but he has now been released and was able to rejoin his team-mates at Sixways.
The Warriors say Garvey is "in good spirits and recovering well" following
the collision with Vainikolo.
