We played some great rugby says Quins boss

Harlequins boss Dean Richards paid tribute to his side's resilience after their dramatic fightback sealed a memorable Heineken Cup win over the Scarlets. Man-of-the-match Chris Malone inspired Quins to a 29-22 victory after his side ended the first half trailing 19-3. The fly-half set up Ugo Monye for the visitors' second try after Danny Care had earlier taken a quick tap penalty to dive over. "We knew at half-time we could get back into it," said Richards. "They could never play with the pace they did in that first half for 80 minutes, while we couldn't play any worse than we did in that first half.

Great rugby

"We kept the scoreboard ticking over and we took our tries well. We controlled the game in the second half and played some great rugby. "The boys deserve a lot of credit for that, but we know it is still very much early days in this competition and we are not going to rest on our laurels." "One of the things we talked about at half-time was that we led London Irish 20-3 at half-time a couple of weeks ago and lost the game so we knew it was possible. "The three boys who came on midway through the half (Tani Fuga, Nick Easter and George Robson) also made a big impact for us." Scarlets head coach Nigel Davies spoke of the disappointment but admitted his side got what they deserved in the last European match to be played at Stradey Park.
Disappointed
"We are all bitterly disappointed," he said. "There is a lot of emotion in the dressing room at the moment. "We felt we should have had the game won at half-time, we could have scored another three or four tries in that first half. "But everything we talked about at half-time we didn't do in the second half. "We didn't manage the game, we didn't play territory and we tried to play from silly errors. I thought we had what we deserved in the end. "We can play rugby, there is no doubt about that, but when it comes to the big games we have got to learn how to win them."
