Dragon tactics get Glasgow coach hot under collar
Glasgow boss Sean Lineen has hit out at the Dragons for using negative tactics in their final Heineken Cup match on Sunday.
Despite his side emerging from the encounter 13-10 winners, Lineen accused their Welsh rivals of making no attempt to provide any entertainment for the Firhill crowd.
Lineen also rounded on rookie French referee Jerome Garces for allowing the Newport players to make a mockery of the breakdown laws.
The coach said that the game was a far cry from Glasgow's heroics in Toulouse the previous weekend but admitted he was happy that they managed to avoid the group wooden spoon.
Different experience
"This was a completely different experience to last week in Toulouse for us," he said.
"When you are facing a team who don't want to play and a French referee, it can make it very difficult.
"We struggled to get any clean ball - but then they were lying all over it." Lineen however, admitted that his own players had struggled with their own performance at times.
"Some of our skill levels were amateurish and the decision-making was poor," he added.
"But at the end of the day we got the win, which was brilliant. We just couldn't put them away."
