Tigers boss admits draw may have been a fair result
Leicester coach Richard Cockerill praised his side's attitude and commitment as they grabbed a last-gasp win at Saracens.
"We kept playing right to the death - there was a huge commitment there," said Cockerill, who watched Sam Vesty score a penalty to claim the points with the last kick of the game.
"I thought if we'd have actually played somewhere near where we can it would've been a bit easier for us.
"A draw was probably a fair result all things considered, but you'll take them when they come."
Leicester were hardly at their impressive best as they stumbled to a 14th win of the season and Cockerill added: "I thought the performance was quite poor really, but after the emotion of last week it was a tough game.
"That little bit of edge we had last week wasn't quite with us, but it was understandable."
Leicester meet Bristol next Saturday looking to secure a home tie in the play-offs.
Home draw
"We want to finish top," added Cockerill. "That would be nice - a home draw and to get to the final."
Saracens head coach Richard Graham had no qualms about the penalty award which cost his side the draw.
"When you see a result like that you always feel hard done by," he said.
"It was a fair penalty. I guess with four or five minutes to go, Glen hits the upright, the ball bounces their way and next thing we're under pressure."
Saracens head to the Rec next week seeking victory over Bath and a place in the play-offs.
Graham, who returns to his native Australia at the end of the season, added: "We need to win now, it's quite simple, to make sure we get that seventh spot."
