European Rugby Champions Cup: Toulouse move top of Pool Four with win over Glasgow

Toulouse beat Glasgow Warriors 19-11 and leapfrogged their opponents into first place in their European Champions Cup group after three games.
Sebastien Bezy’s skill with the boot, kicking four penalties, proved the difference as both sides went over the line once, but the hosts also capitalised on yellow cards to Glasgow pair Finn Russell and Leone Nakawara.
France full-back Maxime Medard bagged Toulouse’s try early in the second half after they took a 9-3 lead into the break before Fiji scrum-half Nikola Matawalu scored with just moments left for Glasgow.
And the visitors will have to win the reverse Pool Four fixture at Scotstoun next week to keep any hope of getting through to the knockout stages alive, after Duncan Weir missed the late conversion that would have given them a losing bonus point.
Toulouse secured their 100th European win at Stade Ernest Wallon, and went ahead through Bezy’s first successful penalty on 18 minutes.
Glasgow responded immediately, dominating territory and possession, and Russell levelled the score from 30 metres before he was sin-binned for an off-the-ball tip-tackle on opposite number Jean-Marc Doussain.
The four-time European champions should have scored through Imanol Harinordoquy but Bezy instead slotted in a resulting penalty before making it 9-3 as the first-half clock ran out.
The French side raced out of the blocks for Medard to force his way over; latching onto Doussain's prod through after Yannick Nyanga nicked the ball from Rob Harley.
Russell got three points back on his return from the sin-bin but Nakawara ended the Scots' hopes on 63 minutes when he saw yellow for using his feet at a ruck, allowing Bezy to hit another penalty and put the game out of reach.
