Pascal Pape cited following Ireland win over France in RBS Six Nations

France second row Pascal Pape has been cited following an incident in their 18-11 RBS Six Nations defeat to Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.

Pape received a yellow card during the second half of the game at the Aviva Stadium after kneeing Ireland's Jamie Heaslip in the back.

Following the match, France head coach Philippe Saint-Andre claimed the challenge was an accident, saying: "When you watch the images of the incident I don't think you can say it was deliberate."

Saint-Andre also identified the moment as pivotal in the match and claimed the decision cost his team any chance of victory.

"I said to Pascal you received a yellow card just at the moment we were gaining the upper hand both physically and territorially as we were in their 22," he added.

"Although we didn't concede many points it was still a pivotal moment.

"You expect something like that from an inexperienced player, not one with over 50 Tests under his belt. It was the worst possible moment for that to happen."
