We look back at the classic between Finn Balor and Seth Rollins from 2016 as they battle it out to become the first ever WWE Universal champion.

It was the moment the world found out Finn Balor belonged at the top in WWE.

Last year's SummerSlam saw the Irish superstar compete against Seth Rollins for the newly minted Universal Championship.

Balor had only been on WWE's main roster for four weeks but he was given the chance to be the new title's first champion after a hugely successful run on NXT.

As you can see in our video of the best bits of the match above, Finn did not disappoint on the big stage.

Coming out as his 'Demon' persona, the crowd in Brooklyn went wild when the popular star came to the ring.

His match against Seth Rollins was electric, with the two athletic superstars putting their bodies on the line.

The problem, however, was he had to take months out afterwards to recover from the injury and had to give up the belt the next night on RAW.

But SummerSlam 2016 was when mainstream sports entertainment fans realised Balor was a star.
