Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes will be without the suspended Mark Reynolds for the match against Dundee as his side look to keep tabs on Celtic at the top of the Premiership.
The central defender misses the game at Pittodrie on Friday night following his ordering off in the dramatic 3-2 win at Ross County last weekend.
Scott Brown is expected to keep his place in goal after a solid showing in his first appearance of the season in Dingwall following Danny Ward's recall by Liverpool.
McInnes told the Press and Journal: "I thought he (Brown) was excellent. The spotlight was on him after everything that had been mentioned with Danny Ward leaving. But I couldn't have been more pleased with how he dealt with that by playing as well as he did.
"He has shown that level of performance in the past so we shouldn't be surprised by that.
The Dons have beaten Dundee twice this season but Paul Hartley's men are in good heart, underlined by their eye-catching 4-2 win at Firhill last Saturday.
McInnes said: "We know they can be a dangerous team. We have produced two strong performances against them already this season.
"It was a great result for them against Partick Thistle as we know how difficult it can be to score against them. For Dundee to go there and win so comfortably says everything about their level of performance."
Dundee have signed forward Arturo Juan Perez-Reverte from Spanish second division club Cordoba on a five-month loan, but he will not be in the squad for the trip to the Granite City.
Otherwise Hartley has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as his side look to secure a third consecutive win to cement their hold on a top-six berth.
He said: "We all know Aberdeen are a very good team. They are good offensively and at the back as well so have a strong mix. Derek McInnes is doing a great job but we obviously have to focus on ourselves.
"We're on a decent bit of form just now. We've had two good wins in the league and want to keep that going if we can."
