Image: Corry Evans: Should return for Blackburn

Corry Evans should be back in Blackburn's squad for their Sky Bet Championship game with Birmingham.

Rovers have been without the Northern Ireland international for their past two fixtures because of an ankle problem, yet he trained on Monday with a view to being involved 24 hours later.

Paul Lambert made just one change to his XI for the derby with Burnley, with Elliott Bennett replacing Tony Watt, and the striker could come back into the fray when they return to home soil.

Danny Guthrie (hamstring), Lee Williamson (calf), Jason Lowe (foot) and Nathan Delfouneso (knee) are all long-term absentees for Lambert's side, who have recorded three successive league victories at home.

James Vaughan remains sidelined for Birmingham's trip to Ewood Park.

The striker, who is yet to score since joining on loan from Huddersfield in January, missed their 1-0 win over Hull with a calf injury and will not be ready for Blues' game against Rovers.

Stephen Gleeson has suffered no reaction following a rib problem after coming through Birmingham's victory against the Tigers on Thursday.
