Highlights of Burnley's 2-1 win over MK Dons from the Sky Bet Championship.

George Boyd's volley soon after half-time proved decisive as in-form Burnley claimed a fourth successive league win with a 2-1 victory over MK Dons at Turf Moor.

Dominant for large spells of the match, the Clarets' only disappointment will be that they did not win by more in the end.

Goals from Sam Vokes and Boyd were enough to secure the victory - Carl Baker's header late in the first half gave the away side parity for no more than five minutes.

Karl Robinson made three changes from the Dons side that lost to Middlesbrough on Saturday. Sam Gallagher, Daniel Powell and Josh Murphy dropped to the bench for Baker, Simon Church and Rob Hall and it seemed to give the away side an edge in the opening 15 minutes.

Burnley, unchanged after their 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday, struggled to get their strike duo into the game.

The tide soon turned and Burnley's patient passing style began to take control.

The powerful Vokes created the first opportunity of the game after 17 minutes. After holding off his marker, the centre-forward played a delightful ball over the top of the defence, Andre Gray was on to it in a flash, but his shot from the penalty spot was stopped well by David Martin.

Coming more and more into the game, it was Vokes who gave Burnley the lead after 32 minutes.

Receiving the ball with his back to goal, the 25-year-old turned on the spot and powered an unstoppable shot, high past the diving Martin - it was the least that the home side deserved for their first-half play.

Jubilant with the break approaching, the home crowd were stunned with just seconds remaining in the half as MK Dons equalised with their first shot on target. Samir Carruthers' teasing cross from the right found Baker at the back post, and the midfielder did extremely well to get above his man to head past Tom Heaton.

Five minutes after the break, Burnley regained their lead however as Gray's pace created time and space and his cross was perfectly weighted to the back post where Boyd met the ball with a stunning volley, beating Martin low at his near post.

Martin was the busier keeper in the second half, with man of the match Michael Keane and his fellow defenders providing superb protection for Tom Heaton.

Burnley tried in vain to add a third, but their attacking play failed to match the precision and fluidity of the opening moments.

The Clarets claim another three vital points while the newly-promoted Dons are now without a win in four in the league.
