Scottish Premiership: Celtic v Aberdeen team news
Saturday 31 October 2015 13:25, UK
Celtic skipper Scott Brown has been ruled out of Saturday's Scottish Premiership clash against Aberdeen.
The Hoops midfielder misses the match between Scotland top two clubs as he awaits a scan to discover the extent of meniscus damage in his knee which caused him to sit out the 2-1 League Cup quarter-final victory over Hearts in midweek.
Brown will now travel to London to see a specialist after he suffered the injury during the warm-up at Tynecastle.
Winger Gary Mackay-Steven is doubtful with a tight groin problem, also suffered during the warm-up on Wednesday night.
Charlie Mulgrew has returned to training after recovering from a thigh injury but the defender is not expected to be available to manager Ronny Deila until next month.
Aberdeen forward Cammy Smith has aggravated a groin injury and will not be available for the early kick-off.
Dons manager Derek McInnes declared no other injury concerns as his team seek to arrest a drop in form which has seen them take just one point from their last four league matches.
Victory for the visitors would cut the gap to one point on Celtic at the top of the table.
