Celtic manager Ronny Deila must make changes in midfield for the Europa League game with Ajax on Thursday after injuries to key players.

Hoops captain Scott Brown has been ruled out for up to three months with a knee injury incurred in Saturday's goalless draw with Kilmarnock.

The latest problem is not related to a similar injury that kept him out for four games prior to the visit of Killie, however.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has confirmed that Captain Scott Brown has been ruled out for up to three months with a knee injury

Brown's fellow midfielders Nir Bitton and Stefan Johansen are suspended, while Kris Commons (illness and hamstring) is rated as doubtful.

But Deila will be boosted by the return of Charlie Mulgrew, who has recovered from a thigh injury and could feature for the first time since September.

Ajax will be missing midfielder Thulani Serero, with teenager Donny van de Beek coming into the side to replace him.

Anwar El Ghazi, Daley Sinkgraven and Riechedly Bazoer all remain out of contention.
