Highlights of the Sky Bet Championship match between Charlton and MK Dons.

Charlton remain deep in a relegation battle following a 0-0 home draw against fellow Championship strugglers MK Dons on Tuesday evening.

The Addicks remain seven points from safety with 10 fixtures to play, while MK Dons occupy the remaining safe spot in 21st place and hover one point above the drop.

A late red card for Yaya Sanogo was the major incident of the game, with the Arsenal loanee now unavailable for the next three Charlton matches.

The game started off in a tense atmosphere with both sides needing points from the encounter, but the Dons had the better of the opening exchanges.

Johnny Williams went close from 25 yards but could only see his effort go wide, while Josh Murphy sent a shot curling past Nick Pope's upright.

Callum Harriot started the game after his double inspired Charlton to victory at Brentford on Saturday and he had the best effort of the half for the hosts.

However, his shot from the edge of the box was blocked by MK Dons defender Dean Lewington, with QPR loanee Yun Suk-Young also thrashing an effort into the side netting in the pick of the first half chances for the Addicks.

The second period saw an improvement for the hosts, with Jordan Cousins curling just wide of David Martin's post 10 minutes into the half.

But Pope was forced into a fantastic save not long after, pushing away a great effort from Rob Hall as he hit home from 25 yards out.

He was once again called into action to deny a Nicky Maynard effort at close range as both sides went in search of the crucial goal.

Charlton's best chance of the game came 12 minutes from time, when Zakarya Bergdich whipped in a cross but it evaded the touch of both Sanogo and Simon Makienok, with only the slightest of touches seeing it past Martin.

The game stepped up a gear as it headed towards its conclusion, with a Kyle McFadzean header stopping a Sanogo effort while Samir Carruthers fired over from 12 yards at the other end.

But the Addicks ended the game with 10 men after a needless red card for Sanogo - who scored a hat-trick at The Valley just 10 days before - following an off-the-ball elbow on Antony Kay.
