Exeter v Cheltenham preview

Manager Paul Tisdale could make a number of changes to his squad as promotion hopefuls Exeter look to bounce back from consecutive defeats when they take on Cheltenham at St James Park.

Tisdale, whose side hold the final play-off spot in Sky Bet League Two despite Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Accrington, told exetercityfc.co.uk: "If we are going to do well this year it is going to be as a squad of players. So, it is not about that back four or the players who started on Saturday. It is about the squad collectively."

Exeter have recorded just one win in their last seven league matches but Tisdale is likely to keep the faith with top-scorer David Wheeler, who has netted 15 goals in all competitions this season, as they look to return to winning ways.

The hosts could have goalkeeper Christy Pym available after he missed the last three matches with a groin injury - while Bobby Olejnik has deputised in goal - but long-term absentees Lee Holmes, Robbie Simpson and Tom McCready again miss out.

Cheltenham have managed to strengthen their position in the table following three wins in the last five games but a defeat to Doncaster last time out means they remain seven points above the relegation zone.

Defender Will Boyle, who was sent off in the second half at Doncaster, is suspended, as is midfielder Kyle Storer, who was handed his second red card of the season against Mansfield earlier this month and is not set to return until April 1 against Morecambe.

Manager Gary Johnson returns to the touchline after a one-match ban for being sent to the stands when protesting against the decision to dismiss Storer.

Striker Danny Wright, who was an unused substitute on Saturday but is second in the team's scoring charts this season, is pushing for a start with the Robins having netted just twice in their last four games.
