Fleetwood v Shrewsbury preview

Fleetwood can welcome back Eggert Jonsson when they host Shrewsbury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The former Hearts and Wolves midfielder missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe - Fleetwood's fourth straight loss - through suspension following his red card at Gillingham last week.

Nathan Pond, Brendan Moore and Vamara Sanogo all remain sidelined through injury but on-loan Leicester defender Joe Davis could make his debut after he was an unused substitute at the weekend.

Chris Lucketti is in still in caretaker charge after Graham Alexander was axed last week.

Shrewsbury have been dealt a blow with the news goalkeeper Mark Halstead will be out for a couple of weeks with a groin injury.

Jayson Leutwiler, who began the season as Town's first-choice keeper, will resume between the posts.

Summer signing Ian Black is set to make his debut and has been pencilled in to start the second-round tie.
