Scottish Premiership: Hamilton Academical v Rangers preview
Friday 16 December 2016 22:25, UK
Hamilton Academical defenders Michael Devlin and Danny Seaborne will be given as much time as possible to prove their fitness ahead of Friday's Premiership meeting with Rangers.
Goalkeeper Remi Matthews and outfield trio Gramoz Kurtaj, Jesus Garcia Tena and Craig Watson remain sidelined.
Rangers defender Clint Hill is available again after serving a one-match suspension following his red card against Aberdeen.
Niko Kranjcar, Jordan Rossiter and Josh Windass are still missing for the Light Blues, who can move seven points clear of third-placed Aberdeen with a win at the SuperSeal Stadium.
Accies are on a seven-match winless run but manager Hamilton manager Martin Canning has taken heart from this week's narrow defeat at Celtic.
He said: "We learned on Tuesday that the boys are capable of raising their game and concentrating for 90 minutes at a difficult venue. Friday night will be very similar.
"It is a huge club coming here and we have to make sure we are competing and concentrating from the first minute and hopefully we can take something from the game."
There were murmurs of discontent after Rangers' 2-0 defeat at Hearts on 30 November but successive home victories over the same opponents and Aberdeen have restored a measure of optimism at Ibrox.
Boss Mark Warburton is keen to see that momentum maintained, saying: "Questions were asked after we lost at Tynecastle last month and quite rightly because we had a poor day at the office.
"But they responded really well with two big performances at home in front of sell-out crowds. Now, though, we have to replicate that level of performance at Hamilton."
