Ipswich will be without striker Brett Pitman for the visit of Brighton.

Pitman was forced off with an ankle injury during the 1-0 defeat at Leeds while Adam Webster will also miss out on Tuesday after the defender felt tightness in his hamstring.

Teddy Bishop is available for selection after missing Saturday's defeat with a facial injury but Luke Varney is set to miss out with boss Mick McCarthy confirming the forward could return after the international break.

Josh Emmanuel is set to take Webster's place in defence while Jonny Williams trained with the squad and should play some part.

Brighton are without full-back Gaeten Bong through suspension after collecting his fifth booking of the season.

Midfielder Beram Kayal will be assessed after he rolled an ankle during Saturday's 2-0 win over Barnsley.

Winger Kazenga LuaLua remains sidelined with a knee problem.
