Watch a preview of Sunday’s Premier League game as Liverpool welcome Burnley to Anfield

Roberto Firmino is an injury doubt for Liverpool ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley on Nissan Super Sunday.

The pacey Brazilian has suffered a knock during the week, and will be assessed ahead of the game at Anfield live on Sky Sports.

"Roberto Firmino struggles a little. He felt something after the game, and this week he couldn't train, so we need to wait a little bit more and see," Jurgen Klopp told a pre-match press conference.

The Reds can push themselves further into the top four with victory this weekend, with the teams around them not in Premier League action as they take part in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Burnley will be looking to do the double over the Merseysiders after their convincing 2-0 win at the start of the season, although their last win at Anfield was in September 1974.

The Clarets have also struggled on the road this season and although they sit in a comfortable 12th place in the table, just two of their 31 points have come away from Turf Moor.

Team news

Liverpool will be without Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge for the Nissan Super Sunday match, with the Reds skipper still suffering with a foot injury and the striker sidelined with a strain.

Dejan Lovren returned from a hip injury against Arsenal last weekend as an unused substitute and could start on Sunday.

Burnley will remain without Steven Defour (hamstring) and Johann Berg Gudmundsson (knee) for the trip to Anfield as they continue to come back from injury while Jon Flanagan is ineligible to face his parent club.

Joey Barton will be available for the visitors though as will Ashley Barnes, who missed out on last weekend's game with Swansea due to suspension, while captain Tom Heaton is expected to return in goal after recovering from an illness.

Opta stats

Liverpool lost the reverse of this fixture 0-2 back in August, recording the highest ever possession for a losing team in a Premier League match since 2003-04 (80.4%).

Burnley's last win at Anfield was in September 1974 (1-0). Since then they've drawn one and lost eight of their nine visits there in all competitions, scoring once and conceding 19 goals.

Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

Before losing at Turf Moor in August, Liverpool had won all four of the Premier League games against the Clarets, scoring 11 and conceding none.

Burnley haven't won both games against Liverpool in the same season since 1929/30 - they were relegated that season from the top-flight.

Indeed, Blackpool in 2010-11 were the last promoted side to do the Premier League home/away double over Liverpool.

Liverpool haven't lost a Premier League home game against a promoted side since the 2010-11 campaign against Blackpool (W12 D5 since).

Barton is the only player in Premier League history to be sent off for two different away teams at Anfield - for Manchester City in February 2006 and for Newcastle United in May 2009.

Live Nissan Super Sunday

If Liverpool win this match then they will equal their tally of wins for the entire 2015-16 Premier League season (16).

The lowest points tally collected away from home in a single Premier League season collected is three; set by Derby County in 2007-08. Burnley have six away games remaining this season - including this match.

Merson's prediction

Burnley have been doing much better away from home in recent weeks but the result haven't quite gone their way. They were very unlucky the other day when they lost 3-2 to a late goal at Swansea. However, I have to back Liverpool. They put in a much improved display against Arsenal last weekend and Klopp will want his side to build on that.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-1

Betting

Liverpool are just 1/4 to boost their Champions League qualification hopes with a victory as Burnley go up against odds of 11/1 to secure a first away win, while the draw is priced at 19/4.

Klopp's men were cut from evens to 8/13 to secure a top-four finish after seeing off Arsenal, while the Clarets are still not considered completely free to relegation fears at 18/1 to go down. Sadio Mane and Firmino are joint favourites in the first goalscorer betting at 7/2 apiece, with Andre Gray considered the visitors' main threat at 14/1 to net first.
