Luton v Crawley preview

Luton could be boosted by the return of injured trio Alan McCormack, Scott Cuthbert and Johnny Mullins for their Sky Bet League Two clash against Crawley.

Midfielder McCormack has been sidelined for almost five months due to a series of muscle injuries, while Cuthbert (groin) has not played since November. Mullins has missed Luton's last two matches with a hamstring issue. Elliot Lee (shoulder) and top scorer Danny Hylton (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Crawley could recall midfielder Jordan Roberts for the trip. Roberts is fit again after missing the last four matches with a hamstring injury.

Midfielder Billy Clifford, who has been sidelined since December with an ankle problem, remains unavailable. Town manager Harry Kewell will be looking to build on a fine run of form which has seen his side win seven of their last eight matches.

Opta stats

Luton have beaten Crawley just once in five previous League Two clashes (D1 L3), although they have avoided defeat in each of the last two (W1 D1), winning the last match at Kenilworth Road 2-1 in February last year.

The Hatters haven't had two 0-0 draws against the same opposition in the Football League in a single season since the 1996-97 campaign against Bury. Crawley have never done so since they joined the EFL in 2011-12.

No team have won more points in League Two in 2018 than Crawley (18 points, level with Accrington).

Prutton's prediction

Luton aren't quite smashing teams apart as they were earlier on in the season, but they're still well clear at the top of League Two and looking good for promotion.

Crawley are on an excellent run of form themselves, and if they can keep it up they'll be right in the battle for the play-offs in a couple of weeks. This is a tough trip for them, though, and I'm backing a home win at Kenilworth Road
