FT: The referee signals for full-time and City are 5-1 winners in Pittsburgh against a disappointing AC Milan side. Thanks for joining us tonight - be sure to check back for a full match report.
Two excitable Milan fans have ran onto the pitch for a selfie with Balotelli inside the centre circle...
The free-kick is whipped across goal but manages to evade everyone as it bounces all the way for a throw-in on the opposite flank.
Clichy goes into the book for a strong challenge over on Milan's right and Inzaghi's men have the chance to get a free-kick into the area from a dangerous position.
Caballero rushes off his line to smother at the feet of Niang who was looking to latch onto the end of Balotelli's return ball. Niang is currently down suffering with cramp after that move.
Richards is forced to cut back inside after striding down the right wing before start to dominate possession in the middle. Richards is wearing the captain's armband now for Pellegrini's side.
Abate bursts down the right and whips a cross into the area, only for the arriving Saponara to head it well over Caballero's goal.
The changes for both sides seem to have slowed the tempo of this game somewhat as Milan are just happy to keep hold of possession.
City get the go-ahead to make more changes as Rodwell, Rekik and Leigh come on for Zuculini, Navas and the injured Boyata.
The corner is whipped towards the backpost where Mexes meets it with a flying volley. His effort is unable to find a way through the crowded box before Balotelli smashes the rebound way over the bar.
Boyata looks to have injured himself on the back of that Milan chance and Caballero is signalling to the bench for a change as the defender receives treatment on the pitch.
CHANCE! Niang skips away from Boyata before racing through on goal. He tries to stab it beyond Caballero but the City keeper stands firm to block his low effort.
Guidetti is involved for the first time as he turns away from Mexes before being hacked down by the Milan defender as City are awarded a free-kick just inside their own half.
Milan have made a triple change with Rami, Muntari and De Sciglio coming off for Saponara, Albertazzi and Mexes.
Agazzi slices the ball into touch despite little pressure and Milan are about to make a host of changes.
Navas exchanges passes with Huws before Jovetic does well to keep the ball in play, skip away from Muntari before lashing his strike into the stand behind Agazzi's goal.
Balotelli is bundled over and Milan are awarded a free-kick just inside their own half as they look to push forward. The ball is eventually played short and the move comes to nothing.
Milan are having a good spell of possession with Balotelli, Essien and Honda all involved. Still unable to find a second though.
City make a double change as Fernando and Iheanacho are replaced by Javi Garcia and Emyr Huws respectively.
Honda and Balotelli deliberate over a free-kick before the former is left to it. He looks to curl it towards the top corner but is unable to beat the City wall.
That's another impressive goal from City and it was Jovetic who started the move. He picked out Kolarov on the left before receiving the return ball and skipping away from one Milan defender as the goal opened up for him to loft it over Agazzi.
Balotelli probes for an opening before opting to pick out Bonera over the left. He delivers a cross looking for Niang, but Caballero can gratefully clutch to his chest.
Balotelli is then fouled and Milan win a free-kick just inside their own half. They've started relatively brightly since returning from the break.
Kolarov exchanges passes before the latter sees his cross headed clear. City continue to press but Balotelli gets back to steal the ball from Jovetic.
OFFSIDE! Balotelli has the ball in the back of the net after Niang's cutback, but the linesman's flag is raised. Replays show it to have been the correct call.
Abate breaks down the left and has Balotelli waiting inside the area, but he can only skew his cross high and wide as it sails out for a goalkick.
AC Milan have looked at their most dangerous from set-pieces tonight and the corner finds an unmarked Essien at the back post. His header flies straight into the arms of Caballero though.
The corner is played short before Kolarov finds the ball at his feet on the edge of the area and his effort on goal takes a big deflection as it loops wide.
City threaten early on as Clichy surges down the right before Iheanacho wins a corner after picking up the ball inside the box and looking to work an opening.
City are unchanged for the second half but Milan have made four with Balotelli, Essien, Bonera and Abate all coming on for El Shaarawy, Poli, Constant and Alex.
The game has been suspended for the time being due to severe weather and a decision will be taken on whether things can continue in 20 minutes.
HT: The referee signals for half-time and City are cruising 4-1 thanks to goals from Jovetic, Sinclair, Navas and Iheanacho, while Muntari pulled one back for Milan. Weather conditions are deteriorating so we will bring an update as to whether the second half gets the green light from the referee as soon as possible.
City will be disappointed with their defending for that one as an unmarked Muntari was allowed to stab the ball into the back of the net from inches out following a downward header from Alex. Appeals for offside are waved away.
GOAL! Sulley Muntari pokes home a consolation goal for Milan from close range after Alex's header! 4-1!
CHANCE! Navas works his way to the byline after skipping past two Milan defenders before lashing his effort across the face of Agazzi's goal with no-one there to apply the killer touch.
The game appears to be under threat due to forecast lightening strikes in Pittsburgh. It sounds as though the referee will look to take this to half time and assess things from there.
OFFSIDE! Jovetic finds the back of the net with a smart low finish but is denied by the linesman's flag.
City are being forced to defend as Milan knock the ball about inside their half. De Sciglio tries to work himself into a crossing position on the right but finds his path blocked by Kolarov.
City press high up the pitch and win the ball back from Milan inside their own half. Zuculini looks to play Fernando into a shooting position but his pass is just too heavy and the move comes to nothing.
Caballero then commandingly comes off his line to punch clear the corner, but Milan have shown signs of improvement in the last few minutes. Either that, or City are easing off.
CHANCE! Caballero is forced into action as he deflects El Shaarawy's close-range header behind for a corner following an inch-perfect delivery from De Sciglio.
CHANCE! Niang is found with a smart ball over the top but the angle is tight inside the area and he lashes a low drive wide of Caballero's post.
The resulting corner is a dangerous one but manages to miss everybody inside the area and bounce behind for a goalkick with Alex flying in.
Milan do break though and win a corner as Caballero is unable to keep the ball in play following a deflected cross which looped up into the air.
Agazzi will be disappointed he was unable to parry that one wide with two hands on it. Iheanacho was afforded time to turn on the edge of the area and the trialist was understandably delighted to see his effort find the back of the net.
GOAL! Iheanacho's strike is too powerful for Agazzi as the Milan keeper can only push it into the top corner! 4-0!
Replays show that took a wicked deflection - possibly off the legs of Di Sciglio - to wrong-foot Agazzi and take the scoreline to 3-0. It was an excellent cross-field ball from Jovetic, who found Navas at the back post to acrobatically get his strike away.
GOAL! City make it three after an acrobatic effort from Navas which looked to have taken a deflection! 3-0!
CHANCE! Zuculini should make it three as he storms into the area, only to guide Kolarov's superb cross wide with Agazzi beaten. It turns out the linesman's flag was raised anyway, but another promising move from City.
Cristante whips the free-kick towards the near post with Niang stretching for it, but the ball evades everyone and Caballero gathers.
Fernando bundles over Cristante in the middle and Milan are awarded a free-kick just inside the City half. It's played short and Clichy concedes another for clipping the heels of El Shaarawy. Chance now to get a ball into the area for Milan.
A long ball over the top goes all the way to Caballero and City look to work something from the back. Their attack comes to nothing and Milan are just happy to hold the ball in defence momentarily.
Clichy is having plenty of joy down the right for City and he causes problems once again as Iheanacho knocks his ball towards goal, but Agazzi beats Jovetic to it.
Milan threaten briefly but El Shaarawy is unable to bring the ball under control inside the area and the move breaks down.
Agazzi is forced off his line to pluck the ball away from the feet of the onrushing Zuculini who looked to latch onto a neat ball over the top from Jovetic. City look full of confidence.
That's another goal that will please Manuel Pellegrini and his City side are suddenly cruising. Clichy found Sinclair in the box with a low first-time cross from the right, the winger took a touch to bring it under control before lashing across Agazzi and into the top corner with a smart finish.
Great first-time finish from Jovetic who beat Agazzi at his near post with a ferocious low strike after Navas was found in acres of space over on the right and fed the striker through on goal.
Milan have seen more of the ball so far and are patiently probing for an opening with City currently camped inside their own half.
Constant breaks at speed down the left and whips a ball towards the near post where Niang is arriving. The striker can't quite connect under pressure from Boyata, though, and the move breaks down.
Milan look to bring the ball over the halfway line but some good pressing from City forces them all the way back to Agazzi, they are keeping the ball well though.
Milan enjoy a good spell of possession in the City half but are unable to find an opening as Boyata stands firm to deny Niang a way through.
City press and Jovetic cuts inside before the loose ball falls to the feet of Iheanacho who slices his effort well over the bar. Very lively start to this game.
Milan have made a fairly bright start and Alex heads the resulting corner wide at the back post after Cabellero looked to get caught in two minutes as to whether to come off his line and claim it.
Milan break down the left as El Shaarawy races through on goal. He gets dragged wide and looks to play the ball across goal, but Boyata recovers well to guide it behind for a corner.
Jovetic is hacked down inside the Milan half and City have an early free-kick. They opt to play it short and go backwards before the ball eventually finds its way to the feet of Agazzi.
Right then, the teams are out and kick-off is just minutes away. City are in their new navy blue away strip, while Milan are sporting an alternative gold kit.
A point worth making before we get underway is that if this ends up in a draw after ninety minutes, the game will go straight to a penalty shoot-out and the winner on spot-kicks will take two points, with the loser taking one. So either way, there should be some entertainment in store for us tonight!
Chris Green has been back in touch to say: "City's youngsters may never get a better chance to show their worth to Pellegrini, so they need to grab this golden opportunity with both hands and give the manager something to think about ahead of the new campaign."
Tonight's game will be live on Sky Sports 1HD from 9pm, but stay with us here if you're unable to catch it as we bring you detailed minute-by-minute commentary. Better late than never - here's the AC Milan team: Agazzi, De Sciglio, Alex, Rami, Constant, Poli, Cristante, Muntari, Honda, Niang, El Shaarawy.
Manuel Pellegrini has been speaking about City's aims for the new season. He said: "We won the title last season but this year is another year. We have new targets, we will try to make important achievements in the Champions League and to once again win the Premier League. So I think that what happened last year is in the past. For our team now it is important to think of the future - and the future is to continue winning titles."
City are strong favourites for tonight's game and our friends over at Sky Bet have them priced at 8/13. The draw is 13/5, while AC Milan are 4/1 to claim a win. Stevan Jovetic to score first in a 2-1 win for City pays 30/1, or you can get 60/1 on Mario Balotelli to snatch a 1-0 win against his former side.
Chris Green has also been in touch with his score prediction. He says: "Man City to win 2-0." What do you reckon? You can either Tweet me: @ryanparrish1919 or email email@example.com.
Thanks to Adam Gillis who has emailed in to have his say on City's youngsters: "Very optimistic about the future's of Rekik, Zuculini and Iheanacho, last season's Audi cup seen us win 5-3 and El Shaarawy stood out as a key player. I can see this being a 2-2 draw with Iheanacho bagging one."
Iheanacho starts again up front tonight and City are likely to tie up a deal for him upon returning from the US. Pellegrini said: "Kelechi is just 17 years old and he's a very important player for us in the future. He has demonstrated what he can do in the future. It depends on the way he takes this profession, but I think he's a good talent."
City were in friendly action on Thursday and eased past Sporting Kansas City with a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Bruno Zuculini, Dedryck Boyata, Aleksandar Kolarov and young Nigerian trialist striker Kelechi Iheanacho. A brief tour of Scotland prior to heading out to America also saw them beat Hearts 2-1 after losing 2-0 to Dundee in their opening game of pre-season.
This is City's first outing in this summer's tournament and they still have Olympiakos and Premier League rivals Liverpool to face in Group B. If they are able to top the group, Pellegrini's men will go on to play the winner of Group A a week on Monday. A derby with Louis van Gaal's Manchester United - who saw off Roma to win 3-2 last night - could await, while Roma, Inter Milan and Real Madrid make up the rest of Group A.
As always, you can get involved with your thoughts and predictions throughout the night. Either Tweet me: @ryanparrish1919 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll get them posted as we build up to kick-off.
Manchester City team: Caballero, Clichy, Kolarov, Boyata, Nastasic, Fernando, Navas, Zuculini, Sinclair, Jovetic, Iheanacho.
