Newport midfielder Medy Elito is suspended for the Vanarama National League clash at home to Wycombe.

Elito was sent off for the second time this season in the midweek defeat at Crawley, so must serve a two-match ban. He will also miss Tuesday's home game with Barnet.

Central defender Darren Jones picked up a knee problem at Crawley but is expected to start against Wycombe.

Forward Alex Rodman has missed the last two games with a groin injury and will be assessed before kick-off.

Wycombe defender Aaron Pierre could return to ease the Chairboys' injury problems.

Pierre has not played since suffering a leg injury at Exeter three weeks ago, but manager Gareth Ainsworth expects him to step up his recovery programme before the trip to south Wales.

Ainsworth only had four outfield players on the bench at Cambridge in midweek but he might also be boosted by the return of midfielder Marcus Bean after a hamstring problem.

Long-term absentees Paris Cowan-Hall (ankle) and Alex Lynch (thigh) remain sidelined.
