Adams continues to shape squad for next season

Port Vale manager Micky Adams has offered professional contracts to three of the club's more promising youngsters. Reserve-team regulars Matthew Bell, Anthony Malbon and Sam Morsy have all been handed one-year deals by the League Two club. Earlier this week Adams continued to mould his current squad with the announcement that James Lawrie, Dave Howland, Simon Richman and Danny Edwards will not earn new contracts in the summer, taking the total number set to be released next month to eight. Meanwhile, Vale have revealed they will take part in a pre-season training camp in the Republic of Ireland this summer which will include two friendlies. Athlone Town will be the opponents on Tuesday 20th July before a fixture against Mervue United two days later.
