Thierry Henry believes Chelsea face a tough task to hold onto their Premier League crown after seeing Jose Mourinho's side drop points against Newcastle.
The Blues fought back from two goals down at St James' Park to salvage a point thanks to late strikes from Ramires and Willian.
Henry was quick to praise Chelsea's resilience after the game but, after seeing rivals Manchester United and Arsenal pick up victories, believes they will face a real battle to come out on top again this season.
"It's going to be a tricky one," Henry said on Saturday Night Football.
"Not only do they need City to drop points, Manchester United and Liverpool also are there, Arsenal too.
"It's going to be a hell of a task but you never know. Two weeks ago, everybody was raving about Man City and now, two weeks later, they are not playing the same way.
"So who knows what can happen in this league."
The result at St James' Park means that Chelsea have now failed to win five of their seven Premier League games so far this season.
Once again, their defensive frailties were evident on Saturday evening, as Ayoze Perez took advantage of a mix-up between Kurt Zouma and Branislav Ivanovic to put Steve McClaren's side ahead.
Summer signing Georginio Wijnaldum doubled Newcastle's lead on 60 minutes, before goals from Ramires and Willian dragged Chelsea back into the match.
Ramires had a chance to win the game in the final minutes for Mourinho's side and although the Brazil international had his header saved by Newcastle 'keeper Tim Krul, Henry was impressed by the spirit of Chelsea's squad - even if the performance was not up to scratch.
"When you play against a team like Chelsea, you need to play well for 90 minutes, and in all fairness Chelsea could, and maybe should, have won the game," Henry added.
"Overall, I think a draw is fair. But what a comeback from Chelsea."
