Barcelona defender Douglas is set to be sidelined for around eight weeks with a foot injury.
The 25-year-old Brazilian suffered a fractured scaphoid in his right foot during Barca's goalless draw away to Villanovense in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night, the club announced on Thursday.
Douglas played the full 90 minutes of the first-leg tie, having only featured in 12 minutes of first-team league action this season.
But he will now miss the first Clasico of the season - at the Bernabeu - on November 21.
