Nottingham Forest sack manager Dougie Freedman after 13 months in charge

Dougie Freedman has been sacked as manager of Nottingham Forest after little more than a year in charge.
The East Midlands club were pushing for a place in the play-offs in January but have slipped down the table after losing to Huddersfield, Burnley, Bristol City, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday.
Freedman, who will be replaced by first-team coach Paul Williams until the end of the season, had been working under tough conditions, with the club under a transfer embargo in both last summer's and the mid-season transfer windows.
His side have won just four Championship games in 2016 against Bolton, Middlesbrough, Leeds and Preston.
A Forest statement on Sunday read: "Nottingham Forest have terminated manager Dougie Freedman's contract with immediate effect.
"First-team coach Paul Williams will take over the management of the side until the end of the season. The club would like to thank Dougie for all of his efforts during his time at The City Ground.
"The club will be making no further comment at this time."
Freedman took over at the City Ground on February 1 2015, following the sacking of club great Stuart Pearce, and the former Bolton boss ensured a 14th-place finish last season.
